Construction and engineering company, Clough, has been awarded Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development in the northern Perth Basin, near the town of Dongara.

The Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 involves the drilling of up to six wells, construction of a new 250 terajoule per day gas processing facility (to be built by Clough) and associated gas gathering infrastructure.

The Waitsia gas field is ranked one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia and it is forecasted to bring significant economic benefits to the Mid-West region from both construction and operating phases.

The Waitsia Joint Venture made a Final Investment Decision for the Waitsia Stage 2 development, subject to certain regulatory approvals and commercial conditions, in December 2020.

Clough is using 4 construction cameras from Evercam to ensure ease of visibility to the engineering and project management teams. Key stakeholders also have access to the live-view and the timelapse videos are intended to be used for marketing their services.
